Service mode buttons

The three mode buttons at the top of the cart — Takeaway, Eat In and Delivery (or Collection and Delivery in Retail mode) — determine how the order is fulfilled. Tap one at the start of every sale. You can switch mode at any time during the sale without losing items.

💡
If you forget to select a mode and tap a product, the mode modal opens automatically. Select a mode and the product is added straight away.

Adding items — the add button

Tap any product card to add it to the cart. The orange badge on the product card shows how many of that item are in the cart. When you first tap a product the badge briefly shows a tick to confirm it was added, then switches to showing the quantity. Tapping the card again increases the quantity by one.

Adjusting quantities and removing items

Each cart row shows the product, its selected options, the line total and quantity controls.

  • Tap to decrease quantity (removes the item when it reaches zero)
  • Tap + to increase quantity
  • Tap the quantity field and type a number directly
  • Tap 🗑 to remove the item entirely

Editing options on a cart item

If an item has option groups a small pencil icon appears next to the product name. Tapping it removes the item and reopens the options modal. Select new choices and confirm — the updated item is added back.

Applying a discount

Select % for a percentage or Amt for a fixed amount, then enter the value. The admin PIN is required. The discount appears as a separate line before tax.

The Charge and Hold buttons

Both buttons are always visible at the bottom of the cart. Their state changes depending on what is in the cart and whether there are any held sales.

Cart persistence

The cart is saved automatically as you add items. If the app locks due to inactivity or you switch to another device, your cart is restored as soon as you log back in with your PIN. Nothing is lost.

The cart is keyed to your staff PIN login — each staff member has their own saved cart. If two cashiers are using the same system, their carts are saved and restored independently.

Mobile cart

On small screens the cart is hidden behind the orange cart icon in the top-right corner. Tap it to open the cart drawer. It contains all the same controls — mode buttons, items, discount, totals and the Charge and Hold buttons. The page scrolls normally rather than the cart list scrolling internally.
