Taking a Sale
A complete walkthrough from unlocking the POS to handing over the receipt.
Step 1 — Unlock the POS
The lock screen shows when the app opens or after a period of inactivity. Enter your PIN to identify yourself. Your name appears in the header once unlocked and is recorded on every order.
Step 2 — Select a service mode
Three mode buttons sit at the top of the cart. Tap the correct one before adding products.

If you tap a product without selecting a mode first, the mode modal appears automatically. You can switch mode at any time during the sale.
Step 3 — Add products
Tap any product card to add it. The orange badge briefly shows a ✓ tick to confirm, then switches to the quantity. You can also add products by scanning a barcode, typing in the search box, or filtering by category.
If a product has option groups the options modal opens before adding. Tap the ℹ button to view product details without adding to the cart.
Step 4 — Review the cart
The cart shows all items, quantities and the running total. Adjust quantities, edit options, apply a discount or hold the sale from here.
Step 5 — Checkout
Tap Charge £X.XX to open checkout. Select a payment method — Card (default), Cash or Split — fill in any required service mode fields, then tap Confirm Payment. The order is saved, stock updates and the ticket goes to the order display.
Step 6 — Collect notification
When the kitchen or stockroom marks an order as complete, a Ready to Collect panel slides in on the left. Tap ✓ Collected once the customer has their order.
