QuickPOS

Receipt printers

QuickPOS prints receipts using your browser's built-in print dialog. Any printer your operating system can see will work. The receipt layout is optimised for thermal roll printers.

Recommended: 80mm thermal printers

💡
When printing, use your browser print settings to set paper size to 80mm × continuous, disable headers and footers, and set margins to none. Save as a preset for one-tap printing.

Barcode scanners

QuickPOS supports any USB or Bluetooth HID barcode scanner. The scanner must operate in keyboard emulation mode — most scanners do this by default. Point the scanner at a product barcode and it is added to the cart instantly.

Card manual — no reader required

If you don't have a Stripe Terminal reader, use Card Manual mode in checkout. Process the card on any device — a standalone terminal, SumUp, iZettle, or Stripe's Tap to Pay app on iPhone — and confirm in QuickPOS. No hardware purchase required.

Customer displays

QuickPOS supports two customer-facing displays, both accessible from any screen on your local network by opening a browser.

DisplayURLPurpose
Customer Facing Display/displayShows live cart and media playlist at the till
Collection Display/collectionShows preparing and ready orders for customers to watch

Any screen that can run a browser works — a spare tablet, an old laptop, a TV with a Chromecast, or a dedicated display plugged into the till PC. No additional hardware purchase required.

💡
For the Collection Display, a large TV mounted on the wall behind the counter works best. Open the URL in fullscreen mode (F11 in most browsers).

Order Display (Kitchen / Stockroom)

The Order Display runs at /order-display in any browser on the local network. Works on a kitchen monitor, a wall-mounted tablet, or any spare screen. See Order Display for full details.

Till hardware

QuickPOS runs as a native desktop app on Mac, Windows and Linux. Any reasonably modern computer works as a till. Recommended minimum specifications:
